Veteran Actor Duffy Hudson Appeared as Edgar Allan Poe in a Public Performance on May 12th.

Broadway and film veteran Duffy Hudson brought his talent and fascination for Edgar Allan Poe to audiences in this unique one-man play. Hudson provided an in-depth theatrical experience of the life and works of one of America's best-known and enigmatic personalities. This production was the first of the Bluffs Arts Council's LECTURE SERIES: The Art of Creativity.

He also performed as Dr. Albert Einstein to the freshmen class at St. Albert High School. The presentation was interesting and informative.


Bluffs Arts Council Announces Youth Showcase Winner for 2009


Treynor High School student Tarran Sklenar has been named Bluffs Arts Council Youth Showcase winner for 2009. Students in the area were invited to participate in the competition by depicting the theme "Celebrate the Arts". Tarran's artwork will be featured in the Bluffs Arts Council's publications. Her art teacher is Carol Flaten.


Thank you to all who participated in Dine Out for the Arts! 16 area restaurants, 16 visual artists and 5 music groups asssited in this fundraiser for the Bluffs Arts Council. We appreciate their support and thank Doll Distributors for their sponsorship.
